January 25, 2023- As part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF)’s visit to Egypt, a delegation led by H.E. Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, met with H.E. Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education of Egypt. During the meeting, several issues pertaining to education and youth were discussed, along with the prospects of collaboration in various academic fields. Teams from the Ministry and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) also participated in the session, which took place at the Ministry’s headquarters.

Both entities discussed challenges within the education landscape, as well as ways in which educational institutions can contribute to building communities based on knowledge and innovation. It is observed that this can only be achieved by offering knowledge support to the youth and encouraging them to employ their creative abilities, backed by necessary resources for improving their academic skills and building a better future.

H.E. Jamal bin Huwaireb emphasized the MBRF’s commitment to widening the prospects of collaboration with Egypt’s Ministry of Education and Technical Education, thereby aiding in the advancement of knowledge, innovation, and education as fundamental pillars of development. H.E. Huwaireb further underscored the close ties between the two nations in a number of other fields, highlighting how the MBRF is committed to strengthening these ties in the knowledge sector to boost their competitiveness in research and knowledge, as well as advance its educational systems.

In line with their mutual goals and ambitions, the two parties further explored ways to coordinate efforts in creating knowledge initiatives and projects targeting the youth, in order to improve their capacities and contributions to knowledge development in the community.
